Tune into the replay of the “Cultivating Compassion and Belongingness in Teams” session facilitated by Leah Weiss, PhD as part of our Nonprofit Wellbeing Series. This workshop explores how compassion and belongingness impacts team dynamics and organizational culture. By prioritizing compassion and connection within teams, organizations can enact meaningful, lasting change and create cultures in which people thrive.

In this workshop, Dr. Weiss informs participants learn research-backed methods for cultivating compassion and belongingness within their teams. Participants also learn about the four pillars of team resiliency: purpose-driven team-awareness, balancing autonomy and support, structured R&R, and compassionate connectivity.

Leah Weiss, Ph.D., MSW, is a mental health expert at Stanford, and co-founder of Skylyte, a company focused on building healthy teams in a hybrid work world. Dr. Weiss is the principal teacher and founding faculty for Stanford’s Compassion Cultivation Program, conceived by the Dalai Lama. She is an expert on metrics driven, behavior change methods for cultivating resilience, belonging and psychological safety at the team and organizational level. Her acclaimed book, How We Work: Live Your Purpose, Reclaim Your Sanity, and Embrace the Daily Grind” (HarperWave) has been translated into 10 languages. Her work guides the mental health and well-being strategies of over 100 companies and has been covered by news outlets around the world, including BBC, the New York Times, TED, the Financial Times, Harvard Business Review.
