In this virtual Design Salon, multiple Michigan nonprofit leaders will share challenges and / or opportunities they are either facing or anticipating in the near future. We’ll also hear from multi-disciplinary designers about how design can help solve problems, accelerate their mission and amplify their work.
The goal is for everyone to gain an understanding of how designers and nonprofits can collaborate to meet community needs, including how organizations can continue to engage and support clients and fulfill their missions in light of social distancing and personal safety issues imposed by COVID-19, and how design can help nonprofits amplify their message through storytelling and branding to increase support and fund development.
Nonprofits seeking marketing, branding, website or communications support will have the opportunity to connect with local design services. Organizations interested in new ideas and thinking creatively about adapting physical space in a COVID environment – such as office workspaces, serving clients safely, or reimagining use of real estate – are encouraged to attend for an ideas exchange.
Detroit Design Network members specializing in brands, storytelling, digital communication, space design, team and community engagement, systems, and more are encouraged to participate and will get a chance to introduce themselves and their practice.
If you work at a nonprofit and would like to attend, register with the password: “DetroitDesignNetwork” when prompted. Please note this event is open to any nonprofit organization, but exclusive to designers that are members of Detroit Design Network.
