EPIC Resilience: Activating the Creative Mindset that Thrives in Uncertainty

Co.act Resource Library

In partnership with Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) Detroit, join us for our Social Impact Leader Series where we welcome multi-award-winning inventor Sally Dominguez to lead a workshop on EPIC – Emotional/Physical/Intellectual/Creative Resilience.

Creative thinking is not about artistry, it is about growth. As we experience the ongoing fundamental upheaval in almost every aspect of social and business life many people feel powerless. Traditional linear business strategies are no longer relevant in an era of exponential change. This new era demands a new mindset able to navigate uncertainty with purpose and creative confidence. EPIC – Emotional/Physical/Intellectual/Creative Resilience is a new strategy designed by Sally to help people recognize their inherent creative abilities to question and problem solve outside knowledge and expertise.

Sally’s Adventurous Thinking innovation Strategy is used at NASA, Stanford and Singularity universities and organizations including IKEA, Genentech and the Australian schools system. She has developed EPIC as the foundation for Adventurous Thinking, infectious optimism and an inclusive culture.

This workshop will cover the fundamental difference in strategic thinking required to plan in an era of exponential change. It will address core aspects of EPIC Resilience and how to address those personally, and within company culture, to ensure that every stakeholder has creative confidence and feels heard and understood. An offline worksheet will allow participants to continue strategies using tools covered in the workshop.
