Restoration and Rest in Times of Grief and Mourning

10/07/20
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

As part of our Nonprofit Wellbeing Series, join Healing by Choice!, a women and gender non-conforming community of healing and health practitioners and their friends for a series of bi-weekly sessions from September through November.

As we move through these times of uncertainty and mourning, we need each other.  If you would like to spend time in community to reflect, rest, and learn with each other through our grief, please join us. This will be an interactive time where we will share simple practices that you can use in your daily life and share with your community.

Co-facilitators:

Dr. Ife Afriye Kilimanjaro is a climate activist, writer, spirit-healer-warrior.  Her experiences as a grandmother, director, author, connector, researcher, administrator, teacher, activist and traditional healer both inform and are informed by her deep commitment to justice and a better world.  She currently works as Senior Director of Engagement for the U.S. Climate Action Network and is Co-Founder of The Wind & The Warrior.  Dr. Ife holds a Ph.D. in Sociology with a dual focus in Research Methods and Race, Class and Gender and a minor in Philosophy, is an Okomfo (spiritual healer) in the Akom Spiritual Tradition of West Africa and Reiki Master.
