Navigating Policy Changes: What Nonprofits Need to Know

Feb 27, 2025

Over the next four years, the federal administration will likely shift and reshape policies that impact the nonprofit sector, as well as influence funding, workforce regulations, and more. These changes may create both challenges and opportunities for nonprofit organizations that are working hard every day to advance equity and help make community impact.

At Co.act Detroit, we remain steadfast in our commitment to foster collaboration, provide critical resources, and advocate for the resilience of our sector.

We recognize the toll that uncertainty and change can take on nonprofit leaders and teams and are prioritizing our programming that supports nonprofit professionals’ wellbeing through initiatives like:

Nonprofit Wellbeing Series

We support organizations in integrating wellness practices that promote sustainability, leadership well-being, and organizational resilience. Our mental health and wellness resources offer tools to help nonprofit professionals manage stress, prevent burnout, and maintain the energy needed to continue serving their communities.

Drop-In Work Days

We support nonprofit professionals by providing a dedicated space to focus, connect, and recharge. Our twice-monthly Drop-in Work Days offer a welcoming environment to tackle projects, collaborate with peers, and access the resources needed to sustain meaningful work.

We encourage nonprofit leaders to stay engaged, assess how these changes may influence organizational operations, and seek opportunities to adapt while progressing your missions. The Co.act team is here to continue supporting not only the success of your mission, but also the well-being of the people behind it.
