Co.act Detroit’s Response to COVID-19

Mar 12, 2020

To the Co.act Detroit community:

Out of concern for public health, Co.act Detroit will be postponing all public events and meetings for the months of March and April. We will continue to offer Co.lab Connect appointments virtually or by phone.

We recognize that one of the unique benefits Co.act Detroit offers to the nonprofit community is the capacity to bring people together face-to-face for unique encounters, collaboration and learning. We’ve made this decision out of an abundance of caution, particularly for those in our community most at risk of serious complications from COVID-19.

Keeping in mind the impact this may have on organizations’ Activate Fund grant preparation and applications, we will be extending application deadlines to April 22, 2020, and making available webinar versions of our information sessions on coactdetroit.org/activate. We also invite interested applicants to arrange virtual office hour sessions on the scheduled dates by contacting us at activatefundinfo@coactdetroit.org.

As our communities respond to the challenges COVID-19 brings, nonprofit organizations will play a crucial role in maintaining health and well-being. Moving through the coming months, Co.act Detroit will keep working to find ways to connect southeast Michigan nonprofits to the organizations and resources we need to respond to the needs and goals of our communities.

Yours sincerely,
Allandra Bulger
Executive Director
Co.act Detroit
