Asia Blaney

Grants Program Manager

Asia supports the Co.act Grants Team through various programs, including the Participatory Grantmakers cohort. She recently managed The WELL Fund, an emerging grant program that supported BIPOC-led youth organizations.

Asia is passionate about building nonprofits and small businesses, and has experience consulting for small businesses on PR, social media, and other business endeavors. She also served in a variety of roles that strengthened her skills in project management, grants administration, and leadership, including as an Account Manager for a tutoring nonprofit. Asia continues to utilize and grow these skills through her passion as an Alternative Fashion content creator. She is a graduate of Concordia University, receiving a Master’s in Organizational Leadership and a Certificate in Strategic Marketing. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and minor in Community Action and Social Change at University of Michigan. Asia is also the co-founder of Onyx Comix; a comic book organization geared toward improving representation of black characters and creators in fantasy and sci-fi comics. In her spare time, she enjoys reading manga, and playing video games or a thrilling game of DnD.
