Walking Meetings and Groups
Walking has many physical and mental health benefits and can be a great way to release stress. Encourage employees to try incorporating walking meetings into their work schedules opposed to only meeting in an office or via screen. Employees can also experiment with creating walking groups who schedule periods to walk together. The role of compassion and belongingness is essential in the workplace. In this workshop, Leah Weiss, PhD explores how compassion and belongingness impacts team dynamics and organizational culture. By prioritizing compassion and connection within teams, organizations can enact meaningful, lasting change and create cultures in which people thrive. Dr. Weiss informs participants to learn research-backed methods for cultivating compassion and belongingness within their teams. Participants also learn about the four pillars of team resiliency: purpose-driven team-awareness, balancing autonomy and support, structured R&R, and compassionate connectivity. BEAM (Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective)
Build up your wellness toolbox with our educational tools, journal prompts, and reflection questions. BEAM is a national training, movement building, and grant making institution that is dedicated to the healing, wellness, and liberation of Black and marginalized communities. Outside of wellness tools, they also offer trainings, grants and organizational wellness and coaching.
